REALIZING MY INNER FILIPINO

In case you didn't already know, I'm the most whitewashed Filipino you'll ever meet.  But today on my lunch break, I took part in a old Filipino ritual, passed down from generation to generation.  I also did it on Monday too, but I didn't do as well as the Filipinos next to me.  And there were no Filipinos next to me today, no *nobody* for that matter.  Just me all by myself.

On Lane 25 at the Kentwig Lanes in Vallejo, CA (Filipino-town, USA, right up there with Daly City and Stockton).

X   X   9-   X   8 1   7 /   9 /    7 /    X     X s8 /

22  48  57   76  85   104   121    141    169    189

Five strikes, two doubles (missed turkey twice, by one pin and then by two pins).  Picked up a 4-9 split in the last frame

7     8     9     10

   4     5     6

      2     3

         1

Oh that's right.  A 4-9 split.
